Businesses today have a more digital presence than before. As the digital landscape evolves rapidly from new developments, such as AI and other data needs, businesses are turning to the cloud for scalable computing resources to allow them to respond to new demands. Whether these new cloud resources are used to enhance financial operations, improve HR workflows, turbo-charge customer relationship management, or to streamline supply chain processes, businesses are increasingly dependent on cloud-based solutions.

This in turn drove demands for professionals who sit at the intersection of business competency and technology know-how. These professionals are known as functional consultants, business analysts, digital transformation consultant, or cloud solution architects. They bring an in-depth understanding of business workflows and knowledge about the different cloud components to put together enterprise-grade applications. As a result, demand for these roles are high around the world. In fact, the explosion of AI has drove further demand as businesses tap into the opportunities offered by Large Language Models that are offered via the cloud.

In response, we developed four courses to form the Graduate Certificate in Cloud Applications in Business to help train professionals in this area. The program is developed in collaboration with industry leaders, including Microsoft and RapidCircle.

Program features

Practice-focused curriculum Co-designed from the ground up with RapidCircle and Microsoft, the program ensures that you will learn the most contemporary consulting methods to use with your knowledge about the Microsoft Azure cloud. Further, the curriculum is taught by academic staff with industry practitioners giving guest lectures to provide the academic and industry grounding throughout the program.
  2. Blended learning Combining face-to-face and live streaming, the program is designed to accomodate working professionals who may need to attend classes from another location from time to time. We also compressed the teaching period so each course can better align with the work commitments that our students have. This flexibility and accessibility means you can complete the Graduate Certificate part-time to upskill yourself.
  3. Pathway to further education Graduates may be eligible for credits towards the Master of Business Information Technology or the Master of Business Analytics and AI Strategy.
