Jahid is currently pursuing an industry-based Ph.D. in collaboration with RMIT University and Carsales (carsales.com.au), under the supervision of Professor Kok-Leong Ong and Agustinus Nalwan. His research focuses on developing an intelligent vehicle damage detection system using Computer Vision, aimed at improving car selling ads on e-commerce sites, accurately assessing repair costs, and determining fair selling prices. This system leverages object detection and integrates vision-based large language models to enhance its accuracy and efficiency. Concurrently, he is deeply involved in the development of computer vision models, emphasizing the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs). His work is driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to bridging the gap between academic research and practical industry applications. Through this collaboration, he aims to contribute to advancements in the fields of Computer Vision and Deep Learning, making meaningful impacts on the automotive industry and beyond.
